Hope delegation promotes Watermelon Festival on “Good Morning Arkansas”

Photo by Mark KeithSeveral representatives from Hope made their way to the KATV television studios in Little Rock on Monday to promote the 37th annual Hope Watermelon Festival that takes place August 8-10.

The delegation appeared on Channel 7’s “Good Morning Arkansas”. Hope/Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce Director Mark Keith, Chamber President Wendy Jones’ son Hunter, Hope Floral’s Bitsy Carter and her son Nate and the Hempstead County Queens appeared on the morning show where Bitsy shared some watermelon recipes and let host Chris Kane sample some of her watermelon creations. The group even got the show’s hosts to participate in a watermelon seed spitting contest. Nate Carter won the contest.
