Clinton Primary 2nd Graders Treated To Healthy Choices Program
By Staff, 01/31/17 10:37 AMHOPE – Clinton Primary School second graders got a chance to see two favorite fantasy characters in a “Color Me” school nutrition program.
The Cat In the Hat (Hope Schools Child Nutrition Director Deanna Gilbert) helps Elmo (Cathy Brown) learn the difference between eating healthy and poor nutrition.
Thing 1 (Geri Maxfield, LPN, BHE/HAPS nurse) loses twice in attempting to entice the Cat In the Hat and Elmo to eat unhealthy “junk food” snacks; while Thing 2 (Renee Sells, RN, District Nurse) encouraged healthy eating habits.
