HOPE – A benefit for the youngest Hempstead County Sheriff’s Deputy, Jonathan Keen, is currently ongoing Friday, April 14th, until 1:00pm, at the Hempstead County Sheriff’s Department.

Young Mr. Keen is suffering from Stage 4 Neuroblastoma cancer and all proceeds from this benefit will be given to the family to help cover their expenses.

Jonathan was appointed as Hempstead County Deputy #699 in December by Sheriff James Singleton.

The lunch consists of a hamburger with all the trimmings, chips and a drink for $7.00. Takeouts are available. The food was generously donated by Sysco Foods, who is a supplier of foodstuffs for the Hempstead County Detention Facility.

For those unable to make it to the lunch, there is a fund set up in Deputy Keen’s name at Diamond Bank. Donations are always welcomed and appreciated.
