HOPE – The ever-popular Hope High School FFA Old Timers Rodeo entertained a modest-sized but die-hard group of friends, family and rodeo aficionados Thursday evening at the Fair Park Colliseum Arena.

An “Old Timer” is defined, in this case, as any FFA or HHS alumni from the past five years.

The events were Calf Roping, Chute Dogging, Wild Steer Tagging, Team Roping and Barrel Racing. Several of the traditionally male events saw female entrants this night. Especially impressive was Stephanie Cox, as she gave her all in several of the events.

The Hope High School FFA Rodeo is an all-student organized and performed by FFA and Hope High School students. This weekend’s rodeo will mark their 58th year.

The rodeo will continue Friday and Saturday nights, beginning at 7:00pm.
