Interstate 30 Westbound Blocked By Truck Accident

An accident involving two tractor-trailers near the Hempstead-Nevada county line currently (7:20pm Sunday, April 9) has the westbound side of Interstate 30 completely shut down.

At approximately 7:00pm, Hempstead County dispatched Deputies to the site, around the 40 mile marker. Arkansas State Police, Pafford EMS as well as units from Nevada County also responded.

Both drivers were out of their vehicles and one has been transported to St. Michael’s Hospital in Texarkana.

Expect major backups westbound until the scene is cleared.
