Juveniles Arrested For Saturday Shooting In Hope

HOPE – A press release issued by the Hope Police Department April 17th stated:

“On April 16th 2017, at approximately 1:45am, officers of the Hope Police Department were dispatched to the 1700 block of Holiday Drive, also known as the old Western Sizzlin’ building, regarding multiple shots fired.

Upon arrival, officers were directed to the back of the building, where numerous people were located in the Banquet Room.

Initial information gathered at the scene led to the arrest of a 17 year old male juvenile. A second juvenile, a 16 year old male, turned himself in to Hope Police officers at the Hope Police Department later in the morning.

Both juveniles were held at the Hempstead County Detention Facility per the juvenile intake officer.

The investigation into this incident is still ongoing and anyone having any information about this crime is asked to contact the Hope Police Department or Detective Andrew Watson at 870-722-2563.”image
