Plant, garden show Saturday

PRESCOTT – Lelia Scott Kelly will be the featured speaker for the Ninth Annual Garden Show and Plant Sale Saturday.

This year’s theme is “Spring…A Time to Till”, and will be held at the Stokes Center at Central Baptist Church.

The event begins at 7:30 a.m. with registration, refreshments and plant shopping. At 8:30 will be the welcome and picks for door prizes. The first session will be from 8:45-9:45 on the topic of “Plants from Grandmama’s Garden”. This will be followed from 9:45-10:30 a.m. with a break, with more plant shopping and door prizes. The second session will begin at 10:30 a.m. and last until 11:30 on the topic of “Flowering Trees and Shrubs for Spring”. From 11:30 a.m. until noon, will be demonstrations and the winners of the silent auction named. Lunch will be served at noon.

Lunch will consist of a chicken salad sandwich, chips, fruit, cookie and a drink. Lunch will be provided by the Tri-Service club for $8 per person.
