Clinton Primary Students Participate In STEM Competition

HOPE – Clinton Primary School fourth grade students recently competed in preliminaries of the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Wars contest where the students designed a Can-Do-Canoe for a rain gutter race and a Triathlon marshmallow launcher.

Three teams of two students each in each category advanced to regional competition at the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana on May 16.

Winners in the Triathlon contest were Ari Juanes and Esmeralda Leon, first place; and Cesar Marquez and Fabian Aguilar. Can-Do-Canoe race winners were Ariel Barnes and Karah Bowden, first place; and Carter Berry and Brian Jimenez. Others on the CPS team were Lanod Westmoreland III, Jacorey  Morrison, Yudit Dominguez, Melissa Martinez, and Ailyn Leyva. – Holly Hooker for Hope Public Schoolsimage
