Luecille McDuffie

On April 29, 2017 the sweet spirit of our dear mother, Luecille McDuffie went to join our savior in that home not built with hands, but whose maker and builder is God.
Luecille McDuffie was born March 1, 1926 in Kilgo, Arkansas.  She was married to the late L.T. McDuffie.
She was preceded in death by her husband, L.T. McDuffie; three daughters, Mary Lue Brown, Mary Lila Burens and Gloria Blalock; five brothers, Andrew, Alton, Henry, Rebun and Clarence Shaw; three sisters, Lue Bertha Shaw, Rosie Lee Shaw and Della Doby; one sister-in-law, Odessa Shaw.
She united in holy matrimony to the late L.T. McDuffie; to this union six children were born.  She was a member of Munns Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. She was one of the oldest members and was very active until her health failed.
She enjoyed caring for her family and helping others.  Every Sunday the family would meet at Madea’s house.  She leaves to cherish her memory five daughters and three sons, Ada (Jim) Sumpter of Mount Clemens, MI, Thelma (The late Charles) Henry of Prescott, AR, Shirley (Roy Dale) Evans of Rockford, IL, L.T. (Rose) McDuffie of Prescott, AR, Sammy Fellows of Prescott, AR, Andrew Fellows (Ruthie) of Prescott, AR, Carl Shaw (Queenie B.) of Prescott, AR Lois (Herbert) Adams of Prescott, Rosie (Jessie) Dixon of Prescott, ; a very special friend, John Earl Jackson of Prescott; thirty-nine grandchildren, fifty-four great-grandchildren; thirty-two great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; her special care attendants Dr. Young and Laurel Brook.
Visitation will be 11am-5pm, family hour 5-6pm Thursday at the funeral home.  Funeral services will be 2pm Friday, May 5 at Munn’s Chapel Baptist Church.  Burial will be at Deann Cemetery in Prescott. Arrangements entrusted to Hicks Funeral Home, Inc.
