Lifeline screening set

HEALTH4PRESCOTT – Lifleline Screening will be at the Potlatch Building in the Nevada County Faigrounds on Aug. 11 to provide ultrasound checks of residents’ hearts.

This technology looks inside arteries for signs of plaque buildup. Key risks for cardiac events are: age, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, obesity, tobacco use, and family history of CVD or stroke.

Two packages will be offered. The cost of the first package, which includes testing for plaque, vascular disease and heart rhythm is $139. The second package, which adds osteoporosis screening is $149.
