Ruth Eleanor Thompson went to be with the Lord on Thursday January 4, 2018 at Hillcrest Care and Rehab, Prescott, Arkansas.

Ruth was born on September 6, 1925 in Mount Clemens, Michigan to Rufus Cagle and Maggie Kaffenberger Cagle.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Rufus and Maggie Cagle; Her husband Ishmael Thompson; One son, Daniel Thompson; and one great-grandson Spencer Thompson.

She was a homemaker and the oldest member of Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She was crowned Miss Arkansas Health Care Association Queen 2008.

Survivors include two sons, David Thompson of Peoria, AZ, Donald and Katherine Thompson of McCaskill, AR; two daughters Patricia Kirkham and David of Prescott, AR, Julia Taylor and Jimmy of Lonoke, AR.;8 Grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild Sydney Ruth.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home Prescott, AR from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Services will be Sunday, January 7, 2018 2:00 PM at Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Prescott, AR. Interment to follow at Union Grove Cemetery Prescott AR.
