Car show, BBQ cookoff Saturday

PRESCOTT –Weather should be near perfect, but hot, for Saturday’s Freedom Ride Car Show and BBQ Cookoff.

Prescott’s three civic clubs are working together on the event, which will be held from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, July 22, at the Nevada County Courthouse. The entry fee for the car show is $25, as is the entry fee for the bbq and chicken entry for the cookoff. To enter a dessert and/or baked beans, the fee is $10 each. Visitors can sample the entries for $10 a plate.

The money raised from the event will be divided equally between the Prescott Lions, Prescott Kiwanis and Prescott Rotary clubs, and will be used on club projects for the community.
