Cate opens for Diffie at concert

HOPE  – No one could walk away from this concert disappointed.

Dillan Cate was the opening act for Joe Diffee. Cateis from Jonesboro, and has a musical style that includes country and rock. He sang many songs he had written himself and as well as hits by other artists. He contributed Garth Brooks as a driving force in his love of music. This young artist entertained the crowd with only his voice and his guitar. And what a voice he has. We will be hearing more from this young man in the future.

The highlight of the night, Joe Diffee and his band took the stage next. He was a member of the Grand Ole Opery for 20 years. When he started his career the first six songs he wrote and performed were all # 1 hits. During his career, he has had 13 # 1 hits and has made the top 10 hits 20 times. He sang and entertained the audience with many songs from classic country to a humorous modern hip-hop country. All of the songs are well known classics. His humor and down home style engaged the audience making us feel as though he were a lifelong friend. The area residents showed their appreciation of a great show with deafening applause.This was certainly one of the top concerts for our area residents this year. Hempstead Hall works continuously to bring great entertainment to this area.
