Southwest Arkansas Research and Extension Center to Host Forestry Workshop

HOPE- The 2017 Forestry Workshop Will be held from 5:30-8:45pm on September 14th at the Southwest Research and Extension Center located at 362 Highway 164N. This workshop is designed to teach forest landowners how to estimate the value of timber and navigate the pitfalls of marketing timber.

There will be a nonrefundable registration for $12 per person if received before September 11, 2017, after that date registration will be $17 that can be payable at the door.

Registration will begin at 5:30 followed by a welcoming and field tour and supper will be provided for those who register by the deadline. Dr. Kyle Cunningham, with the Arkansas Forest Resources Center will speak on estimating timber value; Dr. Jon Barry, of the Arkansas Forest Resources Center will then speak on the process and pitfalls to selling timber.
