Keen reaches end of watch

HOPE – Hempstead County Deputy Sheriff Jonathan Keen, badge #699, reached the end of his watch Aug. 27.

It is with heavy hearts the Hempstead County Sheriff’s Office announces the Death of our youngest Deputy.

Deputy Sheriff Jonathan Keen, 4, passed away Sunday August 27, at Children’s Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas after a long hard fight with cancer.

Jonathan was appointed as a Deputy Sheriff “Special Assistant to the Sheriff” by Sheriff Singleton on December 16, 2016, while he was being treated at Children’s.

Our prayers are with his mother, dad, brother and sister during this time.

Jonathan’s Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday September 2, at The Brazzel Funeral Home on South Main Street in Hope. HCSO Deputies will serve as pallbearers.
