MCNIEL, JEWELL PHOTOMrs. Jewell Faye Shoemake McNiel born to James Benjamin and Lula Mae Cowart Shoemake on December 9, 1928.  She married the love of her life and best friend, Travis Clide McNiel on December 21, 1946 and he preceded her in death after 57 years of marriage. Mrs. McNiel is a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Spring Hill, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by one daughter; Betty Jean McNiel Rogers and one grandson; Jody Clayton McNiel.

Her Dad was a Baptist Preacher. She was the youngest of 14 children and she is survived by her daughter; Julie McNiel Allison, her husband, Tommy, three sons; Clyde Clayton McNiel, wife, Denise, David Allen McNiel, wife, Laurie, and Travis Joseph McNiel, wife, Karen, a brother; George A. Shoemake of Alvin, Texas, a sister; Ruby Shoemake Hall of DeRidder, Louisiana, Grandchildren, Carol Allison Ruple & Dee, Kathy Allison Brown & Todd, Cindy Allison Kennedy & John, Tommie Allison Crow & Rusty, Mandy Rogers Townsend & Kevin, Sabrina Rogers Lambert & Ronnie, Jarad McNiel & Christy, Tarrah McNiel Lyons & Jonathan, Krystal Cox Goodwin & Brian, Kourtney Cox Sevenbergen & Billy, David Michael McNiel, Danny McNiel, Kyle McNiel & Celeste, Zac McNiel & Ashlee, Kacey McNiel Barrington & Brandon, Eric McNiel & Courtney, and Ashley Kidd DeSota & Jay; sixty-five great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; and two very “Special” friends, Patty Turner and Mary Lou Ward.

 Visitation is 6:00 to 8:00pm on Friday, September 8, 2017 at BRAZZEL/Oakcrest Funeral Home 1001 S. Main Hope, AR.

Funeral service, 2:00pm on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at BRAZZEL/Oakcrest Funeral Home with Bro. Eric Fisher and Bro. Eric Goble officiating.
