Hempstead County officials investigated an incident August 25th in which a school patron claimed the Superintendent of the Blevins Schools pulled a gun on her.  The incident reportedly occurred when Superintendent Billy Lee apparently put two students off a bus.  The mother of one of the students, Bridget McClure, apparently came to the school.  At this point the stories differ.  Mr. Lee said  McClure got on the bus and yelled at him about putting her son off.  He said she left the bus but met him at the school.  The student was also there and Mr. Lee said he walked away from the student and McClure after she became agitated.  McClure came to the Sheriff’s Department and met with Deputy Brown.  She claimed Mr. Lee pulled a gun on her after she continued to question him.  Mr. Lee had claimed the student threw a rock and hit his truck and McClure verified that in the Sheriff’s Department report.  According to Sheriff James Singleton, Hempstead County investigators have interviewed and obtained written statements with all persons involved and reviewed the video from the school building.  The video and all information gathered has been referred to the Prosecuting Attorney.
