HCSO hosting ranch rodeo fundraiser

HOPE – The Hempstead County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting a ranch rodeo on Sept. 28, at the Third District Coliseum. The rodeo will start at 7 p.m.
The events include: mugging, branding and wild cow milking. Tickets are $5 each with the money raised going towards Operation Christmas. Only the first 10 teams to enter will be allowed to compete. Entry fee for the four-person teams is $200, with the wranglers competing for $1,000 added money.
Sheriff James Singleton invites everyone to come out to watch some of the toughest cowboys and cowgirls compete in the ranch rodeo. If you have never been to a ranch rodeo you are in for a treat.
Admission is $5.00, children under 12 free, all proceeds will go to the Sheriff’s Operation Christmas fund, and Shop with a Deputy program. Please come and support the sheriff’s efforts to make sure that kids in Hempstead County that may not be as fortunate as others have a great Christmas. Look forward to seeing you there.
