George S. Smith, SWAAC executive director, said, Zuma Zumais an exciting show that displays the talents of acrobats, street performers and circus acts from 16 African countries. Imagine the impossible – from foot juggling to acrobats performing implausible stunts on vertical poles – and the Zuma Zuma performers will not only make it look possible, but make it look easy.

Africa, Smith said, is “the cradle of all cultures, the ultimate source for all music, dance and ritual for all humanity. Just the though of Africa brings to mind mysticism, magic andexcitement.

The allure of the incredible African troupe comes from the uniqueness of the acts – human pyramids, Zulu dances, pole gymnastics, balancing acts and contortionists,’ he said.

The 90-minutes show with non stop action and amazing featureswill keep audiences breathless,” Smith said.

The Arts Council, through programs such as Cirque Zuma Zuma, strives to raise cultural awareness to a family audience. The council’s dynamic and diverse programming celebrates Southwest Arkansas’s cultures and interests.
