Marion Yvonne Heard

A beautiful soul by the name of Marion Yvonne Heard entered the world on June 14, 1963 to the parental guidance of Eddie and Joy Heard. She accepted Christ at an early age and joined New Bethel A.M.E. Church in Rosston, Arkansas.  Over the years she worked at various places such as: Hudson Foods, Columbia Sewing, Champion Parts, and Petit Jean Poultry.

She also acquired a passion for singing.  She was a member of the New Bethel Church Choir, and later joined quartet groups: The Golden Stars, The Gospel Clouds, and The Gospel Wonders.  She was dedicated to all of the groups until her health failed. She went on to sing in the Heavenly Choir on November 23, 2017 at her home.

She was preceded in death by her father Eddie B. Heard, daughter Sherita K. Heard, 2 nephews and a great niece.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her mother Joy K. Heard of Prescott, AR; 3 children, Vincent T. Heard, Shamarion D. Heard, and Melvin D. Tidwell of Rosston, AR; 5 sisters, Joyce McGough of Waldo, AR, Joycesetta Evans of Magnolia, AR, Loretta Evans, Barbara Heard, and Patricia Heard of Rosston, AR; 2 brothers, Richard (Dexter) Young, and Phillip Heard of Rosston, AR; 1 grandson, Trea’Shawn Heard of Camden, AR; 1 aunt, Ruthie Malone of Prescott, AR; 2 uncles, Alvin (Nadine) Quarles of Rosston, AR and Otis Heard of Camden, AR; goddaughter, Prescious Gulley of Rosston, AR; special friend, Melvin Tidwell Jr. of Rosston, AR, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Public visitation for Ms. Heard will be 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm on Friday, December 1, 2017 at M&H Funeral Enterprises | 411 S. Walnut St. Hope, AR 71801.
