2017 Santa Cop
By Staff, 12/16/17 2:55 PMThe Hempstead County Sheriffs Office held their Santa Cop shopping trip this morning at the Hope Walmart. Members of the sheriffs department, Pafford EMS, and the Hope Fire Department, Hope PD officers, Arkansas State Police Officers, Union Pacific Officers, and varies of other agencies all took part in making Christmas morning special to those in our community. They arrived at the store with a parade of police cars, fire trucks, and ambulances with sirens screaming out as they parked in front of the kids who waited happily. The kids were paired with a member of a response team, who took them to shop. While shopping they got to pick whatever they wanted for Christmas. Once they were finished shopping and checked out, the gifts were then wrapped by Walmart employees. While waiting on their gifts to be wrapped the kids enjoyed donuts and milk and had their picture taken with Santa and the response member who took them shopping.
