HOPE – Open auditions for a murder mystery play to be presented as a dinner theater in April begin at 6 p.m. Friday, January 26, at the Hempstead Hall Theater on the University of Arkansas Community College campus.

The play – “Framed: Murder is an Art” – was written by Hope’s John Hollis, president of the Southwest Arkansas Arts Council.

This mysterious comedic tale is set in the backdrop of a major gallery opening where stolen art, flaring artistic temperaments, professional jealousies, sibling rivalry, and tangled love triangles are all clues to the mystery of “who done it”.

There are 19 characters in the play, divided about equally women to men (including two male characters played by one actor) and all local adult residents are encouraged to attend the audition and try out for the parts.

The director of the production will be John Gladden.
