PRESCOTT – On February 1, approximately 1:38 A.M., PTL Wright responded to a shots fired call in the area of 122 E. Elm St.

Wright arrived on scene and was met by an enormous crowd of people from various cities in the Southwest region of the state. Wright was assisted by Deputy Hughes and Investigator Robert Missey, of the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office.

DET Ferguson was contacted and arrived on scene for processing. There was a witness on scene (not to be named at this time) who directed officers to the location of where the shots were fired. DET Ferguson and Investigator Missey collected several spent pistol cartridge casings, as well as other items of evidentiary value near the location of the casings.

Area hospitals were checked and advised that no one had been admitted to the Emergency Room with apparent gunshot wounds of any kind.

This marks the third incident, involving some form of dangerous activity, from the address of 122 E. Elm St., which is leased for parties and gatherings, just this year.

An investigation is in process, which is being led by the Prescott Police Department.

Any additional information that can be provided should be directed to DET Ferguson, via the Prescott Police Department at (870)-887-6779.
