Williams running for city council

PRESCOTT – My name is Satarra Williams I would like to introduce myself as a candidate for City Council Ward 1 Position 1 for the forthcoming election. I have been a resident of Prescott all my life. My husband, Jeffery, has also been a lifelong resident of Prescott. We met and married here 18 years ago. We have 4 children, Ky, Darian, Kennedi, and Jeffery. Kennedi and Jeffery attend school at Prescott High.

I am employed by the Prescott School District as the Administrative Assistant at the Elementary School. I

have been employed with the District for 16 years. Jeffery works for the State of Arkansas, at the Nevada County Department of Human Services. Our family is proud members of the Prescott Church of God. I serve as Vice-President of the church choir and Youth Director of Youth in Action. Outside of my church I also serve as a Youth Leader with Generation Next. The City of Prescott has allowed me to serve on the Prescott Parks Commission for nine years. While on this board I have had the opportunity to make sure that the youth in Prescott have continued organized activities in our community.

I am seeking your support and vote for City Council Ward 1 Position 1. I know and believe Prescott is a

wonderful town and place to raise a family. My position on the council would be to confront quality of life issues that prohibit Prescott from growing to its full potential.
