Possession of Controlled Substance

On May 16, at approximately 1:50 p.m., Deputy McBride assisted Arkansas Probation and Parole officers at 614 Highway 32 East. Upon Mc Brides arrival, parole officers had already made contact with William Russell.

As Mc Bride entered the bedroom, he observed two clear baggies containing a crystal-like substance in clear, plastic baggies parole officers took Russell into custody and placed him in the back of Mc Brides patrol vehicle.

Mc Bride transported Russell to the Hempstead County Detention Center and booked him in for Possession of Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and a bench warrant for Hempstead County Circuit Court.

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

On May 16, Inv. Justin Crane observed Joe Goad walking down the shoulder of Highway 32 East and knew that he had an active failure to appear warrant with our department.

Upon approaching Goad Inv. Crane took him into custody. While searching Goad Crane found a hypodermic needle on Goad’s person. Crane took possession of the syringe and continued a search of Goad’s person.  After completing the search, he was taken into custody by Deputy Keith Sullivan.  Goad was then transported to the Hempstead County Detention Center for booking procedures.
