Spring Hill Class of 2017 Graduation

HOPE–  Monday 15 May, Hempstead Hall hosted the commencement ceremonies for the Spring Hill High School graduating class of 2017. The ceremony began with the procession of school board members with the faulty and staff followed by those graduating. First year principle, Dr. Peter Maggio, gave the welcoming speech and introduced Brother Eric Fisher for the invocation who also later closed the ceremony with the benediction. Mrs. Heidi Marshall the college and career counselor asked students to stand as she read off the scholarships they had received and the amount total for them combined. Speeches were given by the salutatorian Aaron Ross Townsend, followed by the co-valedictorians Alyssa Kay Dougan, and Brady Anderson Gentry. Each year the graduating class does a special presentation where they go into the crowd of guest and give roses to their loved ones and close friends. Superintendent Angie Raney along with members of the school board presented the graduates with their diplomas.

Students graduating with highest honors were, Mary Caitlyn Light, Christi Chambless, Stephen Yates, Caitlin Brooke Fincher, and Makayla Christian Withers.

Those graduating with honors consisted of, Taylor Bryce Turner, Taylor Madison Teague, Samantha Gail Bobo, Lillian Elizabeth Kidd, Molly Love Middleton, Brittany Denise Smith, and Kelsey Menea Gammage.
