Hope Lions Hear From State Treasurer

HOPE – The Hope Lions Club had a fascinating program Monday June 5th from State Treasurer Dennis Milligan.

The Treasurer is serving his first term and said he has returned $2 million dollars of his office’s budget back to general revenue. He noted since he took office the Treasurer’s office has realized over $100 million dollars in interest and that is more than the previous administration had realized in four years and the best return in the past dozen years.

Milligan says his staff has invested the state’s money wisely and he says he works every day to try to make sure the state’s money is being invested where it will safely bring the most return.
