Civil Dispute
At approximately 11:58 a.m. on June 6, deputies received a name and number to talk with Kasey Bunnell in reference to a civil dispute.
Bunnell advised me his father signed over his 1983 Dodge D150 over to him prior to going to prison. He stated when his father came back he gave the truck back to him to use to go to work. He stated his father has since stolen the title for the truck.
Deputies located the truck at 563 Hempstead 36, where they made contact with Chad Bunnell at the same residence. Deputies ran the Arkansas license plate on the truck, which was D6304, and its registered owner was Chad Bunnell.
Both parties were advised to contact a lawyer to go to civil court to work out who the truck rightfully belongs to.
Criminal Trespass
At approximately 2:17 p.m. on June 6, deputies were dispatched to 340 Hempstead 217 in reference to a possible criminal trespass.
Upon arrival deputy spoke with Joan Flagg. Flagg stated the door to their shed was closed when she left and was opened when she returned home. She stated there should not be anyone in there.
Deputy cleared the shed and did not locate any sign of anyone being inside.
Officer Assist
On June 5, at approximately 5:40 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 1300 block of Highway 355 in Fulton in reference to a three-vehicle collision.
Upon arrival, the deputy secured the scene of the accident and waited for the Arkansas State Police to arrive.
TFC. Henley arrived on scene and the deputy turned over the accident investigation to him. The deputy then assisted TFC. Henley with the accident.
Officer Assist
On June 5, at approximately 4:31 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 3400 block of Highway 32 North in reference to a single vehicle collision that had occurred.
Upon my arrival, deputy secured the accident scene and waited for the Arkansas State Police to arrive
Once the State Police arrived, the deputy turned over the accident to TFC. Henley and assisted him with taking measurements.
Unlawful Dog Attack
On June 5, at approximately 3:35 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to 4364 Hempstead 2 in reference to a dog attack.
Upon arrival, deputy made contact with Sarah Morrow, and Thomas Miller. Morrow stated the dog that attacked was still on the property, and pointed to a male black and tan mixed breed dog that was roaming around the front yard of the residence.
Sge stated the dog has been hanging around the house for the last four or five days, and she isn’t sure who the owner of the dog is. There was no collar or tag attached to the dog. Morrow stated she had just returned home from her in-laws with her female dog who is in heat.
Morrow stated the black and tan dog was sitting on the front porch and when she let her dog out, he ran over to her dog. She stated she tried to keep them separated, but her dog left with the black and tan dog and went on the other side of a barbed wire fence adjacent to the property. Morrow stated she went over to collect her dog, and when she did, the black and tan dog began growling at her and nipping at her. Morrow stated the dog jumped on her and bit her on the ankle, and scratched her in several other locations.
On June 5, at approximately 5:38 p.m., Thomas Miller called in reference to the dog attack that had occurred earlier in the day. Miller advised after the deputy left, the dog again started to become vicious and bite at the residents of the house. Miller stated he was forced to defend himself and his family and shot the dog on his property.
Criminal Trespass
At approximately 12:13 p.m. on June 5, a deputy was dispatched to 695 Hempstead 56 in reference to criminal trespass.
Upon arrival Deputy made contact with Judy Evans. She stated she has been hearing people on her property and stated she put a game camera up in her house facing a back door. She stated that she got a picture of a female that came into her house. Evans provided me a copy of two of the pictures. In the picture, you can see a white female. Deputy was unable to identify who the female is because she is facing downward. Evans stated she does not recognize her. Evans stated she did not find anything missing from her house.
Animal Cruelty
At approximately 1:14 p.m. on June 5, a deputy was dispatched to 191 Hempstead 326 in reference to animal cruelty.
Prior to deputy’s arrival he contacted the complainant, who stated she saw a horse at the above address that appeared to be in poor health. She stated this is the first time she has noticed the horse and does not know who it belongs to.
Upon arrival, deputy made contact with Elizabeth Wallace. Wallace stated she bought the horse from a man she knew by the first name of Frank. She stated she bought the horse because it was in very poor health and he was going to put the horse down. She stated she has been trying to get the horse to put weight on and said the horse has improved a lot since she bought it in December. Wallace advised the deputy that the horse was seven-years-old. She showed me the Purina feed she has been feeding the horse and the deputy did observe she had water out for the horse. Deputy observed the horse did appear to be malnourished but it did appear that Wallace was keeping the horse fed and with water.
The deputy advised the owner the Sheriff’s Office will be checking the horse again at a later date to be sure that the horse is getting better.
