Truck burns at exit 46

TRUCK FIRE 001PRESCOTT – A semi-tractor burned at exit 46 around 7 p.m. Wednesday.

According to reports, the driver was preparing to make a right turn from the exit when he heard a “pop”. The pop was followed by flames. The driver got out of the truck unharmed. The Prescott Fire Department, Arkansas State Police and Prescott Police Department were called. While the PFD extinguished the fire, the truck was a total loss. Officers with the PPD worked traffic control as the road was reduced to one-lane traffic.

The Nevada County Office of Emergency Services was called in because of diesel fuel being spilled from the fire.
