Several guns and a television were apparently stolen from a Hempstead County home by someone entering the home by removing a window air conditioner.
Hempstead County Sheriff’s Department deputies were called to 124 Hempstead 338 on January 5th where the residents say they returned home just after midnight and noticed a window air conditioner had been removed from a window and put back in place.
The items reported missing included a 32 inch Vizio black flat-screen television, a Wii console and two controllers; several Wii games; a .270 caliber automatic Winchester rifle and scope with a wood stock; a Winchester pump shotgun, a Remington nylon automatic .22 caliber rifle, a Winchester lever-action 30/30 rifle and a 12 gauge pump shotgun.
