Alva Mae Blount

Alva Mae Blount, 90, of Emmet, AR, passed away, Friday,

March 3, 2017 in Prescott, AR.

Mrs. Blount was born January 12, 1927, in Moores Mill, AR

to Joseph Floyd and Daisy Bell Moseley.

Mrs. Blount was a member of Providence Memorial Baptist

Church in Perrytown, and a retired seamstress from Shanhouse of Hope.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Victor Paul Blount, three brothers: Edward, Albert Ray, and Charles Moseley; three sisters Mary Francis Jester, Dorothy Tate Wilson, and Ruth Perkins; son William David Blount; and grandchildren: Jeffery Almand, Landon Hill, and Cristian Stevenson.

Survivors are a son Bennie Blount ( Delight) of Chelesa, OK; four daughters: Carolyn Wright ( J.W. ) of Emmet, AR, Donna Surles ( Mike) of Wiggins, CO, Terri Glass and Jeff Freeman of Keller, TX, Sandra Bobo and Mark Stallsworth of Emmet, AR; brother John Moseley of Pinneyville, LA; twenty-two grandchildren, forty-nine great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be 4:00 – 6:00 pm., Sunday, March 5, 2017 at Herndon Pharr Funeral

Home in Hope.   Services will be 10:00 am Monday, March 6, 2017, at Herndon Pharr

Funeral Home, with Benny Blount and J.W. Wright officiating.   Interment to follow in     Snell Cemetery, under the direction of Herndon Pharr Funeral Home.
