Appreciation banquet set for Wolves

state-champs1PRESCOTT – An appreciation banquet will be held for the Prescott Curley Wolf football team at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12 at the Prescott High School cafeteria.

The dinner is to raise money to help buy rings for all members of the 2016 team that went 15-0 and won the AAA state title. Tickets are $8 each and can be purchased from any member of the Prescott Lions or Rotary club, or at Prescott Automotive. The meal will consist of chicken, salad, baked potato, green beans, whacky cake and iced tea. The meal will also be prepared by the school’s cafeteria personnel.

According to Lee Walker, with the Rotary Club, this is a joint effort with the Rotary and Lions clubs working together. All money raised will be donated to help buy championship rings for the team. Eddie Jackson is scheduled to be the featured speaker.
