An Emmet man was charged with drug possession after allegedly throwing the evidence out the window of a car.
Bryan Arnold, 26, was arrested Monday, December 31st, on Hempstead 278 after two plastic baggies containing a vegetable-like substance, believed to be marijuana, were found where baggies had been seen thrown from the passenger side window of a car Hempstead County Investigators Gary Dorman and Justin Crane were attempting to stop.
The driver gave the deputies permission to search the vehicle and no other illegal substances were found. No charges were filed against the driver and he was released.
Arnold, the passenger in the car, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Destruction of Physical Evidence and Littering. He was transported to the Hempstead County Detention Facility.
