Billy Dearinger

Mr. Billy Dearinger, 64 of Emmet, Arkansas, passed away Monday, February 20, 2012 as a result of a motor vehicle accident near Rosston, Arkansas. Mr. Dearinger was born June 27, 1947 in Langdon, North Dakota, to Wilbur Selmer and Doris Mozelle Driggers Dearinger. He was proceeded in death by his parents and son, Jared Dearinger.

Mr. Dearinger was a US Army Veteran serving during the Viet Nam War and was the recipient of two Purple Hearts and the Bronze Star. He retired from the Arkansas State Police with 33 years of service as a telecommunications supervisor and was a bus driver for Emmet Public Schools. He was a member of the Garrett Memorial Baptist Church where he served as the senior bus driver for the church and the Christian School, driving students to ballgames and on field trips.

He is survived by his wife, Vicky Jarvi Dearinger; sons: Jacob Dearinger and Cassie, of Hope, Arkansas, Corey Hardman and Mary Hannah, and Joey Hardman and Korina all of Harrison, Arkansas; daughters; Lora Snell and Richard, Callie Fore and Chris, and Cassie Hardman all of Emmet, Arkansas, and Lindy Dearinger of Perrytown, Arkansas, sisters; Janice Brooks and Mike of Dubuque, Iowa, Lynda Bradford and Larry, and Becky Barham all of Hope, Arkansas; and 8 grandchildren.

Funeral service for Mr. Dearinger will be 2:00pm Friday, February 24, 2012 at Garrett Memorial Baptist Church in Hope, Arkansas. Burial to follow in Anderson Cemetery in Spring Hill, Arkansas. Bro. Clif Johnson will officiate. Visitation is 6-8:00pm Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope, Arkansas. Arrangements are by Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope.
