Clara Jean Taylor

IMG_0562Mrs. Clara Jean Taylor, age 83, passed away on January 17, 2017 in Prescott, Arkansas. Jeanie was born in Hollywood, Arkansas to Grady Eugene Callaway and Clara Bell Murray on April 3, 1933 and attended Arkadelphia public schools. She married Howard Lee Taylor on April 22, 1956 in Hollywood, Arkansas. She graduated from Henderson State University with a master’s degree in Education. She worked as a teacher and taught in Laneburg and Prescott school districts for 30 years. She was involved in Delta Kappa Gamma, Daughters of the American Revolution and Prescott Church of Christ. Jeanie is preceded in death by her daughter Lisa Rene Taylor- Crow and great granddaughter Blakely Rene Crow, her parents and four sisters Grady Bell Buck, Kathleen Fulmer, Vivian Duke and Edna Mae Kelly.

 

Jeanie is survived by her husband of 60 years Howard Taylor, daughter Sherry Lea Ward (Ned) of Prescott, son Scott Taylor(Beth) of Walpole, Massachusetts, grandchildren, Hallie Kisselburg, Amanda Crow, Trent Crow(Katherine), Max Kisselburg(Amanda), Kevin Taylor and Sydney Taylor and great grandchildren Will Vanderveer, Landon Kisselburg, Wes Kisselburg and Tucker Crow.

 

Visitation will be 6:00pm to 8:00pm Friday, January 20, 2017 at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home, Prescott, Arkansas.

 

Funeral services will be held at 10:00am Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Prescott Church of Christ with Mr. John Ratliff officiating. Burial will follow at De Ann Cemetery in Prescott.
