HOPE – The President William Jefferson Clinton Birthplace Home National Historic Site will present a program entitled ‘The Story of Martin Luther King Jr.; Leave Your Legacy At President Clinton Birthplace Home NHS’, on January 16th, at 2:00pm.

The Park Rangers invite all to the ‘read and response’. The book The Story of Martin Luther King,Jr., written by Johnny Ray Moore and illustrated by Amy Wummer will be read aloud and visitors will be able to respond asked in the book. This ‘little’ book tells the story of Dr. King and how he excelled in the arenas of ministry, education and equality.

After the book reading, participants can visualize their personal dreams for uplifting their communities. These dreams will be placed on cardboard cutouts of hands in the shape of peace signs and placed on a temporary display inside the historic site’s visitor center through the month of January.

The event is free and open to the public. For more information call 870-777-4455 or visit them on the web at www.nps.gov/wicl.
