Congressional candidate Tom Cotton ran a good race and was even declared the winner Saturday. The race Cotton won was the Prescott Fall Festival and Trade Days 5k Run/Walk. The former U.S. Army infantryman from Dardanelle finished the course with a time of 19:35, a good distance ahead of the other runners. Coming in second was Randy Lowdermilk, followed by Wade Townsend in third place.
A group of ladies dressed in pink participated in the walk raising awareness for cancer prevention and research. They called themselves “Kathy’s Crew”.
Hillcrest Care and Rehabilitation sponsored “A Walk to Remember” to raise alzheimers awareness and shoe support for individuals and familes affected by the disease in the Prescott/Nevada County area.
