PRESCOTT – It was party time for employees of Nevada County Wednesday afternoon.

Nevada County Judge Mark Glass sold scrap metal the county owned to fund a steak dinner for the employees and their families. Along with the ribeye steak, lunch consisted of baked beans, a form of au grauten potatoes, baked potatoes, salad and several different kinds of desserts. In all, 115 steaks were grilled for the affair.

Once the meal was over, the Nevada County Courthouse closed for the Christmas holidays and will reopen Monday, Dec. 28.
