The elected officials and staff of the Hempstead County Courthouse were a bit scarier than normal Wednesday as they did their annual dress-up for Halloween. From witches to nuns and gangsters to chickens, there was quite a variety of characters to be seen.

I couldn't find the costume I wanted, so I went as an assessor. LOL.
