Early voting is now underway and Hempstead County Clerk Sandra Rodgers wants to let everyone know that you can vote between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays through November 3rd. Early voting on Monday, November 5th is from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Rodgers says that due to redistricting political boundaries and precincts have changed. She says that her office sent new voter cards to the affected voters in compliance with Arkansas Code, however, numerous cards were returned due to voters moving. If you moved and didn’t notify the clerk’s office, you need to call 777-2241 to find out which precinct to vote in.
This year the courthouse is using a new digital system to approve verify that voters are registered and not voting more than once. With the new system, a voter’s driver’s license can be scanned into the device, or their name is entered if they don’t have a driver’s license.
In Nevada County, County Clerk Julie Oliver says early voting is taking place in the V.A. Office in the courthouse. The hours there are Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. On Monday, November 5th, early voting will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
