An Emmet truck driver was killed in Monday morning traffic accident in Nevada County.
William F. “Billy” Dearinger, 64, of 315 Highway 299 East, was driving a 1996 West Star truck west on Highway 278 east of Rosston around 9:26 a.m. when police say he failed to negotiate a curve causing his load of logs to shift. The truck overturned and Dearinger was pronounced dead at the scene by Nevada County Coroner William Mullins at 10:37 a.m.
The weather was clear and road conditions were dry at the time of the accident which was investigated by Trooper Glendon Flowers of the Arkansas State Police.
Dearinger's body was taken to Brazzel Funeral Home.
