Fikes Truck Line has been in business for over 30 years contracting drivers who owned a truck with a flatbed trailer. During the last four years, Fikes’ expansion included the creation of two new sister companies, FTL Logistics and FTL Custom Commodities. FTL Commodities began by running refrigerated freight regionally though the South and Midwest in 2011 with owner/operators. However, at the end of 2012 Fikes began recruiting company drivers for the service.

Max Campbell is the Director of Recruiting and Contractor Services at Fikes and says their employees and drivers are like family with many having been with the company for more than 20 years. He says his company’s priority on its people is a great incentive for drivers to consider.

Campbell says FTL Commodities is looking for drivers with at least two years of over-the-road experience and some knowledge of reefer operation.

In addition to working in a family atmosphere, Campbell says Fikes has great benefits and pay packages. He says the trucks they’re seeking drivers for are not your typical “cookie-cutter” trucks, but are instead something that drivers can take a great deal of pride in driving.

With positions still open for drivers in this area, Campbell encourages anyone interested to contact Wendy McKamie or Sunni Hamilton at FTL Commodities at 800-TO-FIKES(800-863-4537).
