Fire destroys house and car
By Mark Keith, 11/1/23 11:41 AMA structure fire this morning (Wednesday Nov. 1st) on Hempstead Road 30 in the DeAnn area destroyed a residence and car. No one was injured as they were able to exit the house. The home belonged to Willie Gulley but he was not at home when the fire broke out. There were several family members there who escaped unharmed.
The DeAnn VFD was dispatched first then Blevins and the Arkansas Forestry Commission were dispatched. The Hempstead County Sheriff’s Department was on hand to aid the family.
A family member thought the fire could have been caused by an electrical issue but there was no official cause yet available.
