Mrs. Flora Ghormley Moore, 81 of Hope, Arkansas, left this earth on December 13, 2012, at John R. Williamson Hospice House in El Dorado. Flo was born on July 2, 1931, in Columbia County, to Arthur and Cora Churchwell Peterson. Family members greeting her in heaven are her parents, her husband, J. W. Ghormley, three brothers, Jim, Coy and Carl Peterson, three sisters, Dorothy House, Clellis Nalls and Sybil Cox.

Those left to cherish memories of Flo are her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Sharon Speer of El Dorado, her daughter Suzy Harper of Hope, two step-daughters, CeCe Tye and Michelle Smith, both of Hope, one step-son Zane Chattin, Jr. of Georgia, three sisters, Ruby McCoy and husband Loyce “Pappy”, Helen McClure and husband Bobby, Shirley Featherston and husband John, ten grandchildren, Tate McDonald, Paige Pace, DeDe Enquist, Allison Posey, Nicole McRaven, Lee Speer, Kortnery Redden, Haleigh Honea, Zachary Van Horn, and Mason Moses, eleven great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Flo was an avid reader of her Bible and enjoyed visiting The Place of Meeting for worship when she was able. Before her retirement in 1990, she worked at Champion Auto Rebuilders. When she was younger she was an accomplished seamstress and loved cooking large meals for everyone that visited her.

Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Saturday, December 15, 2012, at Brazzel/Oakcrest the Funeral Home of Hope. Memorials may be made to Life Touch Hospice, 2301 Champagnolle Road, El Dorado, Arkansas 71730.

Funeral service will be 2:00 pm, Sunday December 16, 2012, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Chapel, Bro. Jerry Crane officiating. Burial will follow at Harmony Cemetery in Sutton, Arkansas.
