Theft of Property
 
On March 27, 2017 at approximately 0744 hours Deputy Matt Dunham was dispatched to 3307 Highway 67 West in reference to a theft.
 
Deputy Dunham made contact with Billy Porter. Billy told Deputy Dunham that a bumper pull trailer that belongs to the City of Hope had been stolen.
 
The trailer is described as a Big Tex 18’ pipe trailer Arkansas License plate number of X16041. the trailer has been entered into NCIC as stolen. 
 
Death Investigation
 
On March 27, 2017 at approximately 1201 hours Deputy Dunham dispatched to 137 Highway 353 in reference to a subject being deceased.
 
 Upon arrival, he made contact with a family member who stated that his 84-year-old grandfather had passed away. According to the family member his grandmother found his grandfather on the couch when she got up and called him. According to the family member his grandfather had several medical problems.
 
Hempstead County Ben Brazzel arrived and pronounced the 84-year-old dead at 1225 hours. The body was taken to a local funeral Home. No foul play suspected.

Domestic Dispute
 
On March 27, 2017 at approximately 0738 hours Deputy Dunham was contacted by dispatch and advised to make contact with a person from Royal, Arkansas in reference to an incident that happened in Hempstead County.
 
Deputy Dunham contacted the person by phone. The 31-year-old male told Deputy Dunham that his ex-wife, who lives in Hempstead County violated a court order. said that in their divorce papers he had it to where his ex-wife’s current husband, , could not come around his kids.
 
The 31-year-old male told Deputy Dunham that he got word that his ex-wife let he current husband around his kids this past weekend.
 
The 31-year-old told Deputy Dunham that his attorney told him to file a report with the Sheriff’s Department. Deputy Dunham advised the male that he would document the incident but that he needed to speak with his attorney again. 
 
Domestic Dispute
 
On March 26, 2017 at approximately 0215 hours, Deputy Tuberville was dispatched to 3711 East 3rd Street in reference to a Domestic Dispute call.
 
Upon arrival, he made contact with 40-year-old female who stated her 39-year-old boyfriend had locked her out of their residence, and refused to let her and her daughter inside.
 
The caller stated that her boyfriend came back outside, and started to walk towards Hope saying he was going to tear up her vehicle. The caller stated that her boyfriend had been drinking, and was intoxicated.
 
Deputy Tuberville searched the area attempting to locate the male but was unable to at the time. 

 
Citizen Assist
 
At approximately 2304 hours on March 25, 2017 Deputy Luke Sorensen was dispatched to the 800 block of Hempstead 333 in reference to someone driving off of the roadway.
 
Upon arrival, he made contact with Anita Carrigan.  She stated that she had seen a road closed sign down the road and thought that the bridge was out.  She stated that when she tried to turn around her car got stuck in the mud and she was unable to get it out.  She stated that she had no preference on wrecker so dispatch advised West Wrecker as they were next on rotation.  While waiting on West I explained to Anita that the road closed sign was for the county road it was displayed on and not this road.  She stated that as it was displayed directly at the intersection she wasn’t sure which one it was.
 
Deputy Sorensen stood by until West Wrecker arrived on scene and removed her vehicle form the mud.
 
Domestic Disturbance
 
At approximately 1900 hours on March 24, 2017 Deputy Luke Sorensen was dispatched to #10 Clingan Country drive in reference to a domestic battery.
 
Upon arrival, he made contact with a 25-year-old female who stated that she had arrived home a short time ago and her ex-boyfriend, was at her residence.  She stated that he has been living there with her but was moving out today.  She stated that when she got there he took the television from her bedroom.  She stated that as he was walking out he hit the bedroom door and pulled the hinges off of the wall.
 
 She stated that she didn’t want him to take it so she tried to grab it from him.  She stated that he pulled it away from her and tried to kick at her.  She stated that she fell back against the wall and attempted to grab the television again.  She stated that he swung his fist at her and she raised her arm to stop him.  She stated that she believes he hit her wrist but she wasn’t sure.  She stated that her wrist was sore but she wasn’t sure if he had hit it or if it happened when she fell.  She stated that she didn’t want to press any charges she just wanted a report made.
