Theft of Property

On March 29, at approximately 12:30 a.m. Deputy Landon Loe was dispatched to 4259 Highway 67 West in reference to a theft.

Upon arrival Loe made contact with the victim a 44-year-old male, who stated that he had been at a college class until 9 PM and that when he returned home, Victim stated he went into his pasture to feed his horses. Victim stated that when he called the horses, all but one came to him. Victim stated that he called the horse for several minutes and was unsuccessful in locating the horse.

Victim stated that he acquired the horse through a rescue organization and that he had signed a contract to take custody of the horse. He stated according to the contract, he isn’t allowed to move, sell, or relocate the horse without the written permission of the organization. Victim stated he and his wife, had been arguing the last couple days over the horse and the day prior, she took the horse’s registration papers and locked them in her vehicle and wouldn’t return them to him. Victim stated he didn’t think too much of it and he would get them back from her today. Victim stated when he returned home this evening, his wife was gone, and so was the horse.

Possession of Controlled Substance

On March 29, at approximately 1:20 a.m., Deputy Landon Loe observed a tan Ford Crown Victoria traveling East on Highway 67 West towards Hope. Deputy Loe observed said vehicle cross left of center at which point he conducted a traffic stop. Upon approach to the vehicle, he made contact with the driver, Aundra Shaw.

Deputy Loe asked Aundra for his driver’s license and proof of insurance to which he stated he didn’t have a license. Deputy Loe then had dispatch run a driver’s license and warrant check on Aundra and was informed that his driver’s license had been suspended for failure to pay reinstatement fees.

Deputy Loe then asked Aundra to step out of the vehicle in order to conduct standardized field sobriety tests. After further investigation it became apparent to me that Aundra was not medically able to complete the standardized field sobriety tests.

Deputy Loe smelled the odor of burnt marijuana coming from the clothing of Aundra and permeating from the vehicle.   Upon a search of the vehicle Deputy Loe seized a small plastic bag containing a green leafy substance that he believed to be marijuana wedged between the driver’s seat and the center console.

Deputy Loe placed Aundra under arrest for possession of a controlled substance and driving while license suspended. He was transported to the Hempstead County Detention Facility where he was booked in on the aforementioned charges.

Assault

On March 29, at approximately 7:05 a.m., Deputy Jeremy Mc Bride was dispatched to 474 Hempstead 142 in reference to an assault in progress. While in route, dispatch advised that a black male, later identified as Harmon Williams, had left the residence on foot. Dispatch advised that Harmon was walking towards Patmos Road, and possibly had a gun and drugs.

Deputy Mc Bride, went down Patmos Road in route to 474 Hempstead 142, but was unable to locate anyone matching the description.

After arriving at 474 Hempstead 142, Deputy McBride made contact with the victim 42-year-old Tina Jameson who stated that Harmon came over to her residence to get a part off of a vehicle. Jameson stated that Harmon offered her methamphetamine as payment for the vehicle part. Jameson stated that she told Harmon that she did not want it, because she was clean. She stated that she then told Harmon to leave the residence. Tina stated that Harmon started punching her numerous times. Jameson stated that Harmon hit her in the back of the head and in the face numerous times. Jameson was holding her rib cage and was complaining of pain. Deputy McBride requested dispatch to send an ambulance.

While waiting on Pafford Emergency Medical Services, Jameson stated that Harmon left the residence on foot and went into the woods. She stated that Harmon knows the woods very well, because he grew up in the area. She stated that Harmon took a set of keys that went to her residence.

Pafford Emergency Medical Services arrived on scene and evaluated her injuries. She refused transport to the hospital at this time.

Jameson stated that she would drive herself to the hospital and then got into her vehicle. Deputy McBride patrolled the area searching for Harmon, but was unable to locate him at the time.  The incident remains under investigation.

Littering / Illegal Dumping

On March 29, at approximately 8 a.m., Deputy McBride received a call from Todd Avery in reference to illegal dumping at the 300 block of Hempstead 30. Todd stated that four or five bags of trash were dumped at the creek on Hempstead 30.

After arriving to the dump site, He located an envelope belonging to with a name and\address on the envelope was from Prescott. Deputy McBride attempted to make contact with person listed on the envelope by telephone, but did not get an answer at this time.

This incident is still under investigation.

Verbal Dispute

On March 29, at approximately 9:40 a.m., Deputy McBride was dispatched to 5000 block of Highway 29 North in reference to a verbal dispute. Upon arrival, he made contact with a 22-year-old female who stated that she and her 28-year-old husband woke her up and kept her up all night arguing with her about his belt. The wife stated that her husband was under the influence of methamphetamine. The wife stated that her husband threatened to harm himself multiple times.

The husband stated that he was upset that his wife wanted him to leave. He stated that he did not want to harm himself. The husband stated that he just wanted his belt before he left the residence.

Deputy McBride advised the husband that he was free to leave. The husband stated that he was going to go to his friend’s house in Blevins and would not return to the residence.

Breaking and Entering

On March 29, at approximately 3:24 p.m., Deputy Kyle Malone was dispatched to 2015 Highway 174 South in reference to a Breaking or Entering.

Upon arrival he made contact with a female. Who stated that at approximately 2:45 p.m., she was in her residence   she stated that she heard beating and banging on the front door to her residence. Victim said that she looked out of the window in her bedroom and did not see anyone.

Victim stated that she then went down stairs to use the restroom, and while using the restroom she heard what she believed to be someone making entry into her residence through her washroom window. Victim stated that when she went by the washroom, going to the restroom the door was closed, and while in the restroom she heard the door open. She stated she then heard a nut jar that was on her kitchen table being moved around like someone was going through it.

Victim said that she was in the restroom and called 911 and waited to see if she could see a shadow on the wall of the restroom coming from the kitchen. She stated that she then went outside through the back door, and went to go get her kids off of the school bus. Victim said that she then came back to the residence to see if anyone was inside, and when she made it to the back door of the residence she heard that washroom door close again. Victim stated that she then got her kids and went over to her neighbor’s residence and waited for the Sheriff’s Department to arrive.

Deputies Michael Braddock and Malone checked the residence and there was no one inside. Deputy Malone then observed that the front door of the residence has markings on the lock set that indicate someone tried to pry the door open. Malone also observed that the window in the washroom was cracked open.

Victim stated someone also tried to break into their residence on Sunday March 26, while they were not home, but they did not report it. She stated when they arrived home the dead bolt on the front door was hanging from the door. Victim stated she did not see there is anything missing from her residence.

The incident remains under investigation.
