Officer Assist
On April 26, at approximately 7:15 a.m., Deputy Mc Bride was dispatched to the 4000 block of Highway 278 West in reference to an accident. Upon arrival, Trooper Darren Henley was already on scene, investigating the accident.
While Trooper Henley conducted his investigation, Deputy Mc Bride directed traffic.
Domestic Dispute
On April 26, at approximately 9:27 p.m., Deputy Kyle Malone was dispatched to number 7 Clingan Country Road in reference to a missing person. At approximately 2153 while enroute to the address named above dispatch advised the reporting party contacted them, and advised that the individual that was missing had returned home. Deputy Malone made several attempts to contact the reporting party by phone with no success
Upon Malone’s arrival, he made contact with the reporting party a female. who stated that her husband, was missing for three hours, and she found out that he was at another women’s house drinking. The reporting party stated her husband came home and they got into an argument over the situation. She stated the argument was verbal, and did not get physical.
Welfare Check
On April 26, at approximately 9:47 p.m., Deputy Tuberville was dispatched to Saratoga Landing Lot 1 in reference to a welfare check call. Prior to his arrival dispatch advised suspect Adam Walker had locked himself inside of a bathroom inside of an unknown residence. Dispatch also advised me they had Adam on the phone, and he stated he has been off of his medication for the past three weeks. Dispatch advised Adam stated he was feeling suicidal, but could not get an address to his location.
Upon arrival to Saratoga Landing Tuberville observed a white male latter identified as Adam Walker running towards me from the camp ground at the Saratoga Landing. Tuberville made contact with Adam, and Adam stated he had been talking to his therapist all day. Adam stated he has not been able at afford to buy his medication, so he has been without it for the last three weeks. Adam stated he wanted to go to the hospital to be checked out.
Pafford EMS transported Adam to Wadley Regional Medical Center in Hope Arkansas to be further checked out. Adam told Pafford EMS he never intended on causing harm to himself at any time.

Juvenile Pick-Up Order
On April 27, Inv. Justin Crane was contacted by the father of a 15-year-old male juvenile, who stated that a juvenile pickup order had been issued for his son by the Circuit Court of Howard County for him failing to appear in court.
The father stated his son was supposed to be at a drug dealers house and provided the name of the dealer. Inv. Crane advised the father he was familiar with the place and he had been recently working in that area due complaints about narcotic activity. Inv. Crane confirmed that the juvenile pickup order was valid.
At approximately 11 a.m. Inv. Crane went to 1513 Hempstead 37 where he knew of the dealer to Pauley to be staying. Inv. Crane also had Officer Reyn Brown of the Arkansas Parole & Probation Office assist me.
Inv. Crane knocked on the door to the residence and observed a black male peeping out the window he knew to be involved in drugs. Crane advised the male to come to the door, but instead a female answered the door and the male later came outside. He asked the female if the juvenile was inside and she stated he left sometime throughout the night.
Crane received permission from the female to enter the house and look for the teen the female complied and gave permission for Crane to enter and search for the juvenile. The female complied and accompanied Crane inside her residence along with Officer Brown,
After clearing the residence Inv. Crane went to the next door on the front of the residence, knocked and announced his presence. A male identified as and known to Crane as Jerry Pauley answered the door. Crane asked Pauley if the juvenile was inside and Pauley said he saw the teen on the porch this morning, but he told him to leave. While speaking with Pauley he said he was living there at the residence and had been for about a month. Crane advised Pauley he was on parole and had a warrant less search waiver on file. Pauley said he understood, so Crane entered the room with Officer Brown where Crane observed a set of digital scales on the dresser next to the bed.
Inv. Crane asked Jerry about the scales and he said they weren’t his. Crane walked over to the dresser where he observed an Ever Start jump starter box and could see syringes and a glass pipe inside of it. Crane told Pauley that he could see a glass pipe inside the box with residue commonly used to smoke methamphetamine inside the box and several syringes inside the box.
Crane placed Pauley under arrest for possession of drug paraphernalia. After doing so Pauley said we should check the room next door where another female had been staying to see if the teen may be in there. Crane knocked on the door and the juvenile came to the door. Crane placed the boy in custody due to the pickup order after conducting a search of his person incident to arrest Inv. Crane located a syringe in the teen’s right front pocket. While speaking with Pauley and the teen outside, Officer Brown conducted a search of the room the teen was in and located a syringe on a box next to the couch. The syringe had a clear liquid substance in it believed to be methamphetamine. The teen told Officer Brown that the syringe was his.
Pauley was transported to the HCDF and booked for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and is awaiting a first court appearance. The teen was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Drug Paraphernalia and turned over to Howard County Juvenile Officers.
