Hines Trucking, Inc. in Prescott continues to grow with the purchase of a trucking company in Mississippi. Controller Wendell Hoover says the company purchased the chip haul division of Harvest Haul, Inc. in Magnolia, Mississippi on October 26th and began running the company on October 29th.
Hoover says Harvest Haul is a thriving operation servicing two Weyerhaeuser plants in the region.
In the acquisition, Hines takes on an additional 43 trucks, 96 trailers and 41 drivers. This gives Hines a total of 200 trucks, 400 trailers and 225 to 250 employees.
Hoover says Hines will keep a limited office in Mississippi with the Prescott office handling a lot of the branch’s management.
