Hope High School’s Stubber Awarded Scholarship

HOPE – Hope High School senior Austin Stubber was congratulated by HHS Principal Bill Hoglund and HHS Counselor Sallie Nix, upon his selection as 2017 recipient of the 5A South Principal’s Scholarship.

Stubber is the son of HHS health-physical education teacher/coach Gene Stubber and Beryl Henry Elemental School art teacher Bonnie Stubber.

A baseball and football standout for the Bobcats, Stubber plans to attend Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia and participate in baseball and football for the Muleriders.

The scholarship is based upon merit and awarded to students who are children of either principals, assistant principals, athletic directors or coaches in the eight-school 5A South AAA Conference.image
