You’re seen them on Youtube, those houses with the fancy computer-controlled Christmas lights that are coordinated to music. You can do more than just watch these displays on the internet as a Hope family’s home is putting on a stellar show each night.
Jeff and Jennifer Baker’s home on Shover Springs Road is decked out with 12,000 lights flashing to the beat of 24 different Christmas songs. To hear the music tune your car’s FM radio to 107.9. Now the range of the radio transmitter isn’t very far so you may have to carefully pull to the side of the road or pull into the edge of the driveway.
Jeff Baker says this is the fourth year for the computer light display at their home. He says he saw the displays on Youtube himself and did some research to see what it would cost to do it. He says the controller cost about $800. Each year he has added more lights to the display.
The video below shows the lights to Brenda Lee’s Rocking Around the Christmas Tree. Use the map below to drive out and view the full display yourself this season. As you’re driving toward Shover Springs you’ll see the Baker’s home on the right at 213 Highway 32 East.
